Details →Bhaya Soul is sold as a wellness boat rather than a sightseeing one. Meditation at sunrise, a walking session inside a cave, tea in the evening, a spa treatment folded into the fare. Several guests name the meditation, the massage or the tai chi in their reviews. If what you want is the standard Ha Long circuit with a bed attached, you will be paying for sessions you intend to skip.
Twenty cabins in four grades. Ten Soul Signature rooms on the first deck at 30 m². Six Symphony suites at 46 m² on the second deck, two Horizon suites at 52 m² on the same deck, and two Soul Legacy suites at 80 m² on the upper.
Bhaya Soul launched in 2025, and guests call it brand new. The operator spreads the cabins over four decks and puts the crew at 35, and every priced grade caps at two guests, so a full sailing is about forty people looked after by nearly as many staff.
Every grade has a private balcony or terrace with sun loungers, and the operator lists an ocean-view bathtub in all four. The pool is the operator’s heated all-season pool. One guest describes a saltwater pool with a jacuzzi, another an infinity pool looking over the bay, and a French guest writes of heated pools in the plural. No cabin grade lists a jacuzzi, and the only guest who mentions one puts it beside the pool, so our reading is that it is a deck fixture rather than something in your bathroom.
Every stay includes a 30-minute treatment, plus a short herbal soak for the feet of about ten minutes, on the operator’s programme, and more than one guest confirms the treatment came with the fare; anything beyond that is charged.
The rate table, read on 6 August 2026, is halongbaytours.com’s table, per cabin for the one-night trip. Signature is $530 for two people, the Symphony suite $740, the Horizon suites $910, and the two Soul Legacy suites $1,090.
Halved, the $530 Signature, the cheapest grade, comes to $265 each for two sharing.
No cabin takes three adults, so three adults are buying two cabins.
On experience and on English, in the one detailed complaint among the reviews we read. A guest on the three-day trip found the crew inexperienced across the board and communication in English close to impossible, with staff agreeing to things they had not understood. They had given three months’ notice of a vegan diet. One meal was courgette followed by fruit, and dessert was fruit again while their companion was given tiramisu. Happy hour offered them peanuts. On the Cat Ba stop the group was held an hour past the scheduled return with nothing to do. A crew member asked to share their kayak and talked the whole way, which they felt unable to refuse.
A four-star review raises something else entirely: a twenty-five-minute halt at a designated tourist shopping stop, midway along the road transfer to Hanoi, which they read as a forced selling opportunity rather than a comfort break. Five minutes would have covered the bathroom. Separately, a Spanish-speaking guest found one Spanish speaker on board and could not easily find her, and did every excursion in English.
The itinerary works away from the main channel, and guests who liked the boat say so without being asked. The floating village at Cua Van, Tien Ong cave, and kayaking in the Ba Ham lake system at the southern end of Ha Long Bay rather than the cave circuit most boats run. Squid fishing off the stern after dark. Kayaking is included. The three-day trip adds the pearl farm at Tung Sau, the Trinh Nu area and a second wellness treatment. If you are still choosing a bay rather than a boat, the three-bay comparison comes first.
Departure is from Bhaya’s own terminal, the Bhaya Halong Cruise Center at No 9 Ngoc Chau harbour on Tuan Chau. The boat sails at 12:00 and is back at 10:00 the next day. Book direct and the shared limousine from the Hanoi Old Quarter is in the fare, with pick-up between 08:00 and 08:30; through an agency it may be extra, and Origin Vietnam charged $40 a guest in August 2026.
Bhaya’s booking conditions, covering all its boats unless your rate says otherwise, make cancellation free more than 28 days out. For one to four cabin-nights it then costs 30%, 60% from 14 days, and the full fare inside eight days; non-refundable promotional rates override that.
People who will use the spa and sit through a meditation session, and who are buying a grade at a grade price. Against the luxury boats this one is expensive per head. Against the other small boats it is quiet by design rather than by accident.
Anyone with a diet that has to be got right, and anyone who needs a complicated request understood in English on the first pass. The detailed complaint above is about both of those at once.
The cabins, decks, crew, pool, wellness inclusions, programmes, pier, times, transfer and terms are from bhayacruises.com, its FAQ and booking conditions, read on 6 August 2026. The 2025 launch year and the steel hull are from listings read the same day, as is the rate table. Guest remarks are from Google reviews.
Chosen by price proximity within the same bay, computed from our dataset — not by commission. We add no booking fee to any of them.
Our view is that the wellness programme is the product here, and the price only makes sense if you use it. The boat launched in 2025; put any special request in writing and ask for it to be confirmed back.
46 m², double, ocean view, private balcony, on the second deck.
30 m², double/twin, ocean view, private balcony, on the first deck.
52 m², double, ocean view, private balcony, on the second deck.
80 m², double, ocean view, private balcony, on the upper deck.
