Details →Three boats working this bay have “of the Seas” in the name, and they do not all come from one company. Aqua of the Seas belongs to Aqua Hospitality Group: the footer of its own website carries that name, and so does its Google listing. The group also runs Aqua Legend and Aqua Classic, whose owner sites share a template with this one. Elite and Stellar of the Seas are sold on aclasscruises.com, a site that never mentions Aqua. The Aqua group’s menu also lists Aqua Elegance and Aqua Luxury, so even the first word does not pin the boat down. Get the full name onto the confirmation and make somebody tell you which hull you have bought.
Guests who name the boat in their reviews thank the crew by first name: Leen, Winnie, and a waiter two of them call Mr Monkey. The criticism worth reading is a three-star review from May 2026, for what it says about the programme.
A guest in May 2026 counted the one-night trip at under 24 hours. On the operator’s timetable you check in at 11:30 at No. 27B, Tuan Chau International Port, the speedboat takes you out at 11:45, cabins are cleared at 09:00 and you are ashore between 11:20 and 11:30 the next morning. That guest’s three-star review is the useful one here: a crowded arrivals hall and a long wait before the shuttle boat, then a programme dense enough that under 24 hours does not comfortably hold it. The guest rated the kayaking, thought the cooking class thin and the cave visit busy, and described the food as correct but bland if you have already eaten your way through Vietnam.
Big, from the cheapest up. The operator’s deck plan puts the Aqua Junior Suite at 40 m² and the Aqua Senior Suite, of which there are 18, at 45 m². The two Triple Suites and the Royal Suite are 65 m², the Junior Family 66 m², and the King and Queen Suites 80 m². The President Suite on the second deck runs to 160 m² with an outdoor jacuzzi of its own. The operator gives every one of the 32 cabins a private balcony and a bathtub.
The operator publishes its own tariff per cabin, and we read it on 11 August 2026. For one night with two guests, from 1 October 2026 to 30 April 2027: Aqua Junior Suite $410, Aqua Senior Suite $460, the Royal and Triple Suites $604 ($695 with a third guest), the King and Queen Suites $824, and the President Cabin $1,900. The summer table, 1 May to 30 September 2026, was $50 lower on the Junior and $30 lower on the Senior. So the floor this season is $410 a night, about $205 each for two sharing.
The same tariff prices a cabin for one guest. Alone, a Junior Suite was $350 a night and a Senior Suite $395 this season, so a solo traveller pays about 85% of the double rate. Children under five sharing with parents sail free, and from five to ten they pay 75%. For the three-day trip, ask for a quote by date.
The operator’s own list counts VAT as included and the Hanoi transfer as extra; Origin Vietnam quoted the shuttle at $33 a guest for the round trip in August 2026. Ask for a total per cabin with the transfer named and the tax already in it.
A pool and a fitness room, and both are in the fare. The pool is the operator’s four-season outdoor pool. The operator also lists a spa and included kayaking, and publishes a photograph of the gym and two of the spa, treatment tables visible in both. The fare also covers four meals on the one-night trip, a fruit party, the cooking demonstration, squid fishing, karaoke, wifi, a guide and the sightseeing tickets.
The Cat Ba side rather than the main channel. On the operator’s one-night programme the first afternoon is spent at Tra Bau in Lan Ha from 15:00, with a swim, then sunset and the cooking class. At 07:15 the next morning a tender and a bus carry you inland on Cat Ba to Trung Trang Cave, and you are back aboard before the 09:00 check-out.
The three-day trip moves you onto a smaller boat for the middle day: a bicycle ride through Viet Hai village with a homestay visit, lunch, then the fishing village at Tai Keo islet or a swim at Ba Trai Dao, back on board by 16:00; two days or three weighs the extra night. If you are still choosing between bays, the three are genuinely different.
Couples and small groups who want Lan Ha rather than the busy anchorage, and who want a big cabin with a balcony and a pool on deck. Solo travellers do well here too, on the single-cabin rate. On that footing it holds up well against the rest of the Lan Ha boats.
Anyone who wants a full day aboard: the one-night trip is under 24 hours and the last morning goes on a cave trip ashore. Anyone who might cancel late should know that the group’s terms waive the fee only 14 days or more before departure and charge no-shows in full. The best-value list has cheaper boats if the $410 floor is the sticking point.
The pier, the times, both programmes, the cabin sizes, the tariff with its single, double and triple columns, the child rates, surcharges and inclusions are from aquaoftheseas.com, read on 11 August 2026; two listings name the same pier and three give 32 cabins. The cancellation rule is from the terms page Aqua Hospitality Group prints on its other boats’ sites, read on 11 October 2026. Guest remarks are from Google reviews that name Aqua of the Seas.

The criticism worth reading is a three-star review from May 2026: a short, crowded programme and food that plays safe. The cabins are big, starting at 40 m² with a balcony, and the pool is in the fare. We would book a Junior Suite for the route and the pool, and get a total per cabin in writing before paying anything.
