Every cabin on Aqua Legend, the smallest grade included, opens onto its own balcony, according to the owner’s five room pages. The eleven Junior and seven Senior suites also list a Jacuzzi bathtub on every line of those pages. That is the reason to book it. There are 21 cabins in all, and the boat works Lan Ha Bay out of Tuan Chau.

The ship belongs to Aqua Hospitality Group. The menu on its website lists five Aqua boats, among them Aqua of the Seas, so put the words “Aqua Legend” on your confirmation.

Where does Aqua Legend take you?

The Cat Ba side of the water. You kayak or swim at Tra Bau on the first afternoon, and on the last morning a tender and a bus take you into Trung Trang Cave inside Cat Ba National Park. Of the 65 boats on this site with a stop list (counted 11 October 2026, this one included), seven go to Trung Trang. Our Lan Ha Bay page explains how this water differs from Ha Long proper.

On board, the restaurant is on the second floor, according to the owner’s amenities page, and the menu runs to European and Asian dishes. One of the owner’s photographs shows a hot tub on the sundeck, below a wheelhouse painted with the boat’s name, though no page describes it.

Which Aqua Legend cabin should you book?

The Junior suite, if you are two adults. It is the most common grade, it sits on the lowest cabin deck, and the owner lists the same balcony and Jacuzzi bathtub as on the Senior suites. Families have fewer choices.

Grade (owner’s name) Cabins Floor Owner’s size Beds Who may sleep there Bath
Aqua Junior Suite Balcony 11 1st 25 m² double or two singles 2 adults Jacuzzi bathtub
Aqua Senior Suite Balcony 7 2nd 28 m² two singles or double 2 adults and 1 child Jacuzzi bathtub
Aqua Queen Suite Balcony 1 2nd 35 m² double 2 adults and 1 child under 5 bathtub
Aqua King Suite Balcony 1 2nd or 3rd 35 m² double 2 adults and 1 child under 5 bathtub
President Suite Balcony 1 2nd 40 m² queen-size 2 adults and 1 child Jacuzzi (text) or bathtub (facility list)

Every figure in that table is the owner’s, read on 11 October 2026. A reseller prints smaller sizes, so ask for your grade’s floor area in writing.

The child rules shape the choice more than the sizes do. The owner’s terms let one child aged 0 to 4 sleep free in each cabin; a child aged 5 to 10 pays 75% of the adult rate when sharing with parents, and anyone over 10 pays the adult rate. A family with a child aged five or over needs a Senior suite or the President, because the Queen and King take a child only if under five. The owner lists the Junior for two adults; ask whether an infant may share.

What does an Aqua Legend cruise cost?

Price on request. As of 11 October 2026 we hold no cabin price table for this boat: the owner’s booking pages show a “Check availability” button and no rates, and the one reseller page we have read shows a headline from-price without the cabin rates behind it.

The owner’s terms still tell you a good deal. Rates are per cabin, quoted in Vietnamese dong, and they move with the date. Independent travellers pay in full when they book. There is no cancellation fee 14 or more days before departure, a no-show is charged in full, and the terms add that other conditions vary by rate type and will be printed on the voucher, so read that voucher before you pay. Our guide to cancellation policies shows how other boats handle the same question.

How does the two-day Aqua Legend trip run?

You are aboard for just under a day. The owner’s timetable:

Time Day 1
11:45 Check in at the waiting lounge, Lot 27B, Tuan Chau International Marina
12:00 Tender out to the ship, welcome drink, cabin check-in
12:45 Lunch while the boat heads into Lan Ha Bay
15:00 Kayaking or swimming at Tra Bau
17:00 Cooking class on the sundeck
19:15 Dinner
20:30 Free evening
Time Day 2
05:45 Tai chi on the sundeck
06:30 Breakfast
07:15 Tender to Cat Ba Island, then a bus to Trung Trang Cave
09:00 Cabin check-out
09:45 An early lunch as the ship turns back
11:20 Tender to Tuan Chau Marina

The owner’s terms set check-in between 11:00 and 12:00. Arrive later and you pay a surcharge for a canoe or speedboat to catch the ship, which is worth knowing if your road transfer from Hanoi runs late; our harbour guide covers Tuan Chau.

Is the second morning worth it?

Only if you want the cave. Between 07:15 and the 09:00 check-out you are on a tender, a bus and a cave path. That leaves about an hour and a half aboard before the cave and a little over two hours after it, most of them spent packing and eating. If the balcony is why you booked, ask before departure whether you may stay aboard during the cave trip; the programme does not say.

What changes on the three-day trip?

You spend the middle day on another vessel. At 08:15 on day two the owner moves guests to a day boat heading for the southern part of Lan Ha Bay, and you are back on Aqua Legend at about 16:00. The day holds a 5 km bicycle ride through Viet Hai Village, with electric cars for anyone who would sooner not cycle, lunch on the day boat and an afternoon swim. Dinner is back aboard at 19:00, and day three repeats the cave morning. Weigh that against the second night’s cost in our two days or three guide.

What is included on Aqua Legend, and what is not?

The owner’s lists cover meals in the programme, a welcome juice, an afternoon fruit party, kayaking, sightseeing tickets, the cooking demonstration with tea, wifi, satellite TV in the cabin, squid-fishing gear in the evening and VAT. You pay separately for the transfer from Hanoi, hotels before or after, flights, visas and personal spending. If the port authority raises entrance fees, the terms say Aqua Legend will pass the increase on as a surcharge.

Passport details for everyone, children included, are due 24 hours before you sail. Changes after 10:30 on the cruise day cost VND 2,500,000 per booking.

The pool is listed but unconfirmed. Both of the owner’s programmes and the Junior cabin page offer free use of a four-season outdoor pool, both programmes add free daily karaoke, and the two-day list adds a gym. The three-day list puts the pool directly under the Aqua Legend name. Those lines look copied from Aqua of the Seas: the two-day list opens by naming that ship, the group’s sites reuse text across boats, none of the photographs we hold of Aqua Legend shows a pool or gym, and the pool and gym pages in the owner’s Vietnamese gallery return “Page not found”. Get the pool confirmed in writing if it matters. Our page on what is not included lists the extras guests meet most often.

Who will get the most from Aqua Legend?

Two adults who want a balcony and a tub without booking one of the three top suites. On the owner’s figures the 11 Junior suites give you both. Anyone set on seeing Trung Trang Cave also has few boats to choose from. The owner calls Aqua Legend “a 5-star cruise”, which is why it sits in our luxury cruises list; with no published rate, we cannot yet place it on that page’s price scale.

Who is Aqua Legend a poor fit for?

Families with a child aged five or over, who are limited to eight cabins: the seven Senior suites and the President. Anyone who booked partly for a pool should get it confirmed in writing first, because the owner’s pages promise one and nothing shows it. If a build year matters to you, read our guide to boat age, because we cannot give you one here.

What could we not confirm about Aqua Legend?

The owner gives no launch year, hull material, length, deck count or passenger total, and calls the boat only “the newest member” of the group. Nobody publishes a length or a passenger total at all. The reseller page sold under the Aqua Legend name shows “Launched: 2018”, but its web address and one room description still use the name Sapphire Cruise; we cannot prove that is the same hull, so we use no year.

Cabin sizes differ between sources. That reseller, halongbaycruises.com (read 6 August 2026), gives 18 m² for a Junior, 20 m² for a Senior and 22 m² for the three top suites, and splits the rooms into different grades with triple versions. The owner’s own Vietnamese Queen page says 80 m², against 35 m² in English.

The owner’s pages also disagree with themselves on bathtubs. The About page promises a Jacuzzi bathtub in every cabin, while the King and Queen pages list only a bathtub. The President page describes a Jacuzzi in its text and lists a plain bathtub among its facilities, and the reseller says the President has no Jacuzzi, only a shower bathtub. The King page puts the suite on the second deck in its text and on the third floor in its spec line. We have collected a single Google review for this ship, which is too few to tell you how it runs.

Why people book Aqua Legend

Book it if

  • You want a private balcony and a Jacuzzi bathtub even in the smallest cabin grade; the owner lists both for all 11 Junior suites
  • Trung Trang Cave on Cat Ba is on your list, along with an afternoon of kayaking at Tra Bau
  • You can book well ahead: the owner's published terms charge nothing to cancel 14 or more days out, though the voucher for your rate decides, so get it in writing

Good to know

Who should look at something else
  • You are bringing a child aged five or over; only the seven Senior suites and the President take one
  • A pool or gym matters to you; the owner's programme and Junior pages list a pool, in lines copied from its sister Aqua of the Seas, and no photograph shows one
  • You want a published rate or a build year before you enquire; we have found neither
What to ask before you pay
10
10 questions, each one tied to something this boat does not publish. Almost none of the cruise pages we surveyed tells you what to ask. Take this list to whoever quotes you.

The moneyWhere the spread hides

Which cabin class does this price cover, and how big is it?
Rates are published for only some classes. Ask for floor area, deck and class name on the quote.
What is the single-occupancy supplement?
Not published by any source we read. Common on this coast and often +50% or more.
Is using the jacuzzi extra?
Jacuzzi confirmed aboard, but no source we read says whether use is in the fare.
Child and infant rates?
Not published for this boat by any source we read — the child tables we found are the sellers’ own, identical across every boat they list. Ask for the age bands, not just the discount.

The logisticsThe mistakes that cost a morning

Confirm it is Tuan Chau Marina.
Named by one source only. The piers serving these bays are roughly twenty minutes apart and drivers do occasionally go to the wrong one.
What time is check-in, and what time is cabin checkout?
No source we read publishes either for this boat. Confirm both when you book, especially if you have a flight on the last day.
Which stops does the 3 days · 2 nights add?
The route list we publish is the union across itineraries; no source says which legs the longer trip reaches. This is usually the reason to take it.

If it goes wrongNobody publishes this — get it in writing

What happens if the port closes for weather?
The provincial authority closes the port and every boat stays in. No source publishes this operator’s policy. Ask whether it is a refund or a date change, in writing.
Which cancellation ladder applies to your booking, and what deposit?
We found 7 different ladders across our sources for boats on this coast — free cancellation ends anywhere from 15 to 30 days out. It depends on who you book through, not on this boat. Get yours in writing before the deposit.
Is a cave closure refunded or substituted?
Caves close at short notice here. Substitution is normal; a refund is not. Worth knowing which you are agreeing to.
We do not host guest reviews yet, and we will not reprint a score we cannot audit. This list is what we would want in their place — take it to whoever quotes you, us included.
Boarding times and the cancellation ladder

The boat's own timings

No source we read publishes check-in or checkout times for Aqua Legend Cruise. Ask when you book — on this coast checkout is usually between 09:30 and 11:00, and the difference decides whether you get a last morning on the water.

Cancellation — not a property of this boat

We checked every cancellation ladder in our sources. They differ by who you book through, not by which boat you sail: the same boat carries different terms on different listings. So we will not print one and call it Aqua Legend Cruise's policy.

Across the 7 distinct ladders we found, free cancellation ends somewhere between 15 and 30 days before check-in. After that the fee climbs to 100%.

Which pier does Aqua Legend Cruise leave from?

Tuan Chau Marina, according to one of the sources we read — we could not corroborate it. The piers serving these bays are roughly twenty minutes apart and drivers do occasionally go to the wrong one, so name it when you arrange your own transfer.

What do you not know about this boat?

No source we checked publishes: launched, hull, capacity, decks, length m. A further 4 figures rest on a single source. We would rather say that than fill the gap with a guess. If the operator sends us the figures we will publish them and date them.
