Treasure Junk has fourteen cabins, and the choice between them is a real one. Twelve are Deluxe cabins of 14 m² on the first deck, with a window onto the walkway that runs round the outside. Two are Suites of 43 m² on the second deck, each with a private balcony and a jacuzzi. On the halongbaytours.com listing read on 6 August 2026, the Deluxe was $245 for two for the night: from $123 per person, two sharing. The Suite was $295.

She belongs to Bai Tho Junks, a Hong Gai company founded in 1991 that also runs Victory and Victory Star on Ha Long Bay. Treasure is the one that sails Bai Tu Long. The operator dates her to 2017, with a refit in 2020, and she has three decks.

Which cabin should you book?

The Suite, if one of the two is free. Fifty dollars a night buys three times the floor space, a balcony over the water and a jacuzzi. These are the prices for one cabin, the highest rate the halongbaytours.com listing showed for each grade on 6 August 2026, with sizes, counts and decks from the operator.

Cabin Size How many Deck Outside One night, per cabin Two nights, per cabin for the whole trip
Deluxe Ocean View (double or twin) 14 m² 12 First Window onto the walkway $245 $470
Suite Ocean View 43 m² 2 Second Private balcony, jacuzzi $295 $570

Two sharing the Suite pay about $148 each. The deck plans show the cabins and their bathrooms along one central corridor, with a restaurant, a bar beside the helm and outdoor seating on the deck above. What your cabin gets you sets 14 m² against the rest of the fleet.

Bai Tho’s child policy across its shared cruises: one child under five sharing a bed with two adults is free and a second pays half; five to eleven pay half without an extra bed and 75% with one; twelve and over count as adults.

Where does Treasure go?

Out of Ha Long International Cruise Port, at 9 Ha Long Street in Bai Chay. Arrive by noon; the tender takes you out at half past twelve and lunch is served on the way into the bay. The afternoon is spent kayaking around Cong Do. Next morning a bamboo boat takes you through Vung Vieng, the floating fishing village, before you clear the cabin at nine and come back to the port at 10:30. Give your driver the full name of the terminal, because the harbours here are easy to confuse.

The two-night trip keeps Cong Do on the first afternoon and moves Vung Vieng to the last morning. In between, a transfer boat takes you to Thien Canh Son Cave and on to kayak at Hang Thay. Emptier water is the reason to come; the three bays compared shows how far Bai Tu Long is from the main channel.

What does the fare include?

The cabin, every meal on the programme (lunch, dinner, breakfast and brunch on the one-night trip), the kayaks at Cong Do, the bamboo boat at Vung Vieng and entrance fees. Drinks, spa treatments, VAT and tips are extra, and Christmas, New Year and Tet carry a surcharge. The road from Hanoi is arranged on request, with Old Quarter pickups between 08:00 and 08:30 and the bus back in Hanoi by about a quarter to three; have the fare put on your quote. The operator asks for a 50% deposit, with the balance three days before you sail, and cards add 3 to 4%. What is not included covers the rest.

Is the Deluxe big enough?

For sleeping, yes. At 14 m², with its window onto the outside walkway, it is a cabin for sleeping in. On a one-night trip that spends the afternoon in kayaks and the morning in a village, that may be all you need; if you want to sit in your room and watch the bay, it is the wrong cabin, and there are only two of the right one.

Who it suits

Two people who want the quieter bay for a night, and who will pay $295 for the suite or are happy to sleep small at $245. The best-value list has the rest of this bracket.

Who should look elsewhere

Anyone who wants space at the entry price, or a family that needs one room for four. Compare the small-boat list and the other Bai Tu Long boats, which cover the same water.

Our read

Treasure Junk is Bai Tho Junks' fourteen-cabin boat on Bai Tu Long: Cong Do by kayak, Vung Vieng by bamboo boat, out of the Bai Chay terminal. The Deluxe is small and looks onto the walkway. Pay $50 more for a suite if you can get one of the two.
